Editorial policy

Toolbrief exists to help users choose AI tools by workflow. Rankings are editorial and cannot be purchased.

How tools are selected

We include tools with clear utility, active products, credible ownership, and enough user value to justify ongoing review. We intentionally leave out low-signal launches, clone products, and tools that are not durable enough to recommend.

How scoring works

Scores weight workflow fit, output quality, adoption friction, value clarity, integrations, trust, privacy, governance, and product momentum. A high score does not mean the tool is right for every user.

Pricing and feature freshness

Pricing is a dated snapshot, not live pricing authority. Production reviews should include the official pricing URL and a separate pricing-checked date. Users should verify limits before buying.

Corrections

Founders and users can submit factual corrections. Corrections may change facts, but they do not guarantee inclusion, ranking changes, or positive language.

Sponsored listings and affiliate links

Sponsored placements must be clearly labeled. Sponsorship can buy marked visibility, not ranking inside editorial shortlists. Affiliate relationships must be disclosed near the relevant links.

AI-assisted content

AI may assist drafting, formatting, and QA, but editorial claims should be reviewed by a human before production publication.
